I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
