Vehicles in Germany's City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State
Area Police
Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm police.
Vehicles, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a statement.
Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident noticed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been marked with a reddish-hued substance.
The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.
Police then discovered many other smeared cars and house walls in the surrounding area.
Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of Nazi symbols.
Police state initial examinations show the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to its origin; officials are not yet aware of any injuries in relation with the incident," they added.
City officials announced they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the residents for information.
An important official said the incident left him speechless and required to be resolved quickly.
"This event strikes at the center of Hanau and reawakens the wounds of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he posted on a platform, mentioning the killing of nine victims by a assailant focusing on residents of immigrant origin in February 2020.
